The Chiemsee Academy is an independent leadership academy in Prien a. Chiemsee, Germany. It was founded in the year 2019 by Professor Dr. Daniel J. Veit. The aim of the academy is to accentuate current and emerging issues in business and to address societal matters of change. The seminars and workshops offered by the Chiemsee Academy are designed for experienced leaders from business and also public sector as well as research institutions. Seminars are offered by internationally renowned professors and practitioners.
The founder and owner of the Chiemsee Academy, Professor Dr. Daniel J. Veit, offers a program of various seminars. Prof. Veit provides more than 20 years of experience in research, teaching, executive education and strategic top-management consulting. He and his research group are known as one of the most productive groups in Germany and Europe in the business discipline Management Information Systems. He is a business professor and chairholder at University of Augsburg, Germany and a permanent visiting professor at the Copenhagen Business School, Denmark. Earlier in his career, Professor Veit held the Dieter-Schwarz-Endowed Chair of Business Administration esp. E-Business and E-Government at the Business School of the University of Mannheim. As an academic director and member of the executive board of the Mannheim Business School gGmbH he established the ESSEC & Mannheim Weekend Executive MBA and built it up to one of Germany’s top Executive MBA programs. He consulted various corporations ranging from internationally operating biopharma to family-owned corporations in the MRO-domain. Moreover, Prof. Veit regularly supports public sector consulting projects.
He uses his extensive international network to provide workshops and seminars as well as other open-enrollment formats a the Chiemsee Academy to foster discussions, reflections and insights in small groups of executives on highly impactful and diverse contemporary issues. These include but are not limited to: sustainability, digitalization, artificial intelligence, structural changes in the nature of work and leadership, visionary thinking and many others.
